Welcome to the Pursue You Podcast, where we are empowering you to continually reflect, design and pursue who you were created to be so you can give the gift of your best self to your family, community, and business!

52! Episode #52! 52 is also the number of weeks in one year so I have successfully completed 1 podcast per week for 1 year. I feel this is a perfect time for us to dig into the vault and highlight some of the episodes that made the most impact on you as the listeners and our community as a whole. One of my favorite parts of this podcast is how all-encompassing it is. I hope that today’s episode can serve as a starting point, as inspiration to give you an idea of what episodes you may want to listen to next!

[2:45] Episode 4 – The Antidote to FOMO aka JOMO…the joy of missing out! Even if I am doing something I LOVE, I still feel like I may be missing out on something else. I had a realization that this idea of FOMO became powerful enough to make me feel like the things in my life were not good enough. I was always comparing myself. I was second guessing my choices. As I practiced becoming confident in my choices, I was able to enjoy the things I did more and have JOMO…joy of missing out.

[7:14] Episode 7 – Screen Time Hacks…I just finished a book called Attention Management (stay tuned for an upcoming episode). In Episode 7, I share so much how screen time affected me as a mom. I had the realization that I was spending too much time working and not enough time with my kids. After realizing this, I started doing simple things but I also had to re-wire my brain to figure out the tiny habits that showed up big in my life. I share a handful of tactical ways to tackle this challenge.

[11:10] Episode 13 – Set Goals You Actually Care About…I share about a realization I had around this time last year. For the past few years I start planning the upcoming year in October. While setting up goals for 2020 in late 2019, I asked myself, “If I accomplish this, how will I feel?” And I answered, “I’ll feel GREAT!” I then asked myself, “What if I don’t?” And I learned that showing up for my family was, indeed, more important to me. As much as I wanted these things for my business, I learned I needed to set the goals that were most important to me first. If you will be upset not accomplishing something, that goal means something to you.

[17:27] Episodes 38 and Episode 39 – Mom Guilt…The goal of these podcasts is to answer the question, “How do I get rid of Mom Guilt?” There is no easy fix here. The crux of these two episodes is about being confident in who you are as a mom, what your priorities are as a mom and being confident showing up that way. I share how we are not that important! If we miss a soccer game or go on vacation, we are not a bad mom. YOU define what a good mom is, not anyone around you.

[21:23] Episode 45 – Find Your Pace…This podcast was inspired by Pastor Michael Todd. In 2020, every one of us had a shift to our “regularly scheduled programming.” We had an opportunity to rebuild our best normals, also a recent podcast of mine [Episode 33]. It is important to find a pace that works for you. Dispel all of the programming that you have had in your mind about how quickly something is moving in your life. For me, if I stopped or had a slow pace, I felt lazy! I share how morning sickness forced me to slow down and I had to listen to my body. We cannot define our worth based on our pace or accomplishments and that, for some of us, requires us to change the way we look at what we have always done.

So, there you have it, 5 (well, 6) podcasts that our community has loved from the last year- a good mixture of personal and professional growth! Hopefully one fog them inspires you to add to your library or share with a friend. I hope you can feel the gratitude I have for you. It is an absolute blessing to spend so much time with myself and this microphone to be able to learn more about the things I feel so passionately about and hopefully make an impact in your life.
